Representatives from 27 international and regional delegations convened in Geneva on Tuesday for the Sixth Consultative Meeting on Enhancing Co-ordination of Peace Initiatives and Efforts in Sudan. The gathering, held under the auspices of the United Nations, aims to promote a ceasefire and improve the coordination of humanitarian assistance amid ongoing conflict in Sudan.

The State of Qatar participated in the meeting, with its delegation led by Nayef bin Abdullah al-Emadi, Director of the Arab Affairs Department at Qatar’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The talks reflect a broader international commitment to facilitate peaceful resolutions to the conflict and to bolster cooperation among stakeholders involved in relief efforts.

During the session, delegates focused on advancing initiatives designed to restore security and stability within Sudan while addressing the severe humanitarian challenges resulting from the fighting. The meeting underscores continued global concern over the conflict's impact on civilian populations and the need for enhanced coordination in both diplomatic and humanitarian domains.
