The State of Qatar took part in the 12th meeting of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Technical Team for Security Media Awareness on June 15, 2026. The participation was conducted through video conferencing and involved representatives from the Ministry of Interior. Leading the Qatari delegation was Colonel Dr. Jabr Hamoud Jabr al-Nuaimi, Assistant Director of the Public Relations Department.
During the meeting, delegates from GCC member states reviewed several agenda items focused on improving collaboration and coordination in the area of security media. The discussions aimed to strengthen the collective capacity of member countries to address security challenges through enhanced media communication and awareness strategies.
The session concluded with the adoption of multiple recommendations designed to foster closer cooperation among the GCC countries in managing security-related information dissemination. These measures are intended to support unified efforts in combating threats and promoting public safety across the region.
