Qatar Railways Company has announced a suspension of Lusail Tram services from June 26 to July 5, 2026, to undertake major improvement works on the network. The temporary halt in tram operations aims to enhance passenger services and overall tram performance, and has been coordinated with the Ministry of Transport.

During the suspension, replacement bus services will run between Legtaifiya station and Tarfat - South station to ensure continued connectivity for commuters. Additionally, existing metroexpress and metrolink services, including the recently introduced metrolink route M154, will continue to operate and cover the affected areas.

After the completion of the improvement works, service along the at-grade sections of the Lusail Tram will remain suspended as Qatar Rail proceeds with extensive upgrades designed to increase efficiency and improve the travel experience. Metroexpress and metrolink services will maintain coverage over these areas to facilitate seamless mobility across the network.

Qatar Rail has advised passengers to consult the guidance maps available at stations for details on replacement bus routes, locations of the nearest stops, and service frequency. Customers are also encouraged to follow updates via Metro and Tram social media channels or by contacting the Qatar Rail call centre at 105 for the latest information.
