The Minister of State for Foreign Affairs of Qatar, Sultan bin Saad al-Muraikhi, and Singapore’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr Vivian Balakrishnan, jointly chaired a meeting of the implementation monitoring mechanism of the High-Level Joint Committee between the two countries. The session took place on September 16 in Doha.
During the meeting, officials reviewed the cooperation framework between Qatar and Singapore, focusing on advancing bilateral relations and ensuring the execution of decisions from previous monitoring sessions. Both parties expressed satisfaction with the progress made in deepening ties across various sectors.
The ministers emphasized the importance of continued collaboration through diplomatic channels and specialised technical working groups to maintain momentum. They also agreed to organise the fourth meeting of the implementation monitoring mechanism in Singapore in 2027, aiming to further consolidate and expand joint initiatives.
This consultation mechanism reflects ongoing efforts by Qatar and Singapore to strengthen their partnership and promote mutual interests in regional and international affairs.
