Qatar reaffirmed its support for Lebanon’s efforts to strengthen state institutions and address the challenges faced by displaced persons, according to statements following recent diplomatic engagements.

On Sunday, HE Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulaziz bin Saleh Al Khulaifi, Qatar’s Minister of State at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, held a telephone conversation with Lebanon’s Deputy Prime Minister Dr. Tarek Mitri. The two officials reviewed bilateral relations and explored avenues to enhance cooperation between the countries. They also discussed the Lebanese government’s ongoing initiatives aimed at resolving the situation of displaced communities by creating conditions conducive to their safe and dignified return to their areas of origin.

During the call, Dr. Al Khulaifi emphasized Qatar’s commitment to supporting measures that bolster Lebanese state institutions and contribute to the broader security and stability of the country. The discussions highlighted the importance of sustaining efforts to establish effective governance and maintain the state's authority across Lebanese territory.

Separately, Dr. Al Khulaifi held a telephone conversation with HH Prince Yazid bin Mohammed bin Fahd Al Farhan, Advisor to the Saudi Foreign Minister on Lebanese Affairs. The two officials examined the prospects for deepening bilateral cooperation and exchanged views on the recent developments within Lebanon. They expressed satisfaction with the Lebanese government’s steps in reinforcing state institutions and advancing solutions for displaced persons to enable their dignified living and eventual reintegration.

Both Qatar and Saudi Arabia underscored the significance of Lebanon’s continued progress toward institutional strengthening, security consolidation, and addressing humanitarian challenges linked to displacement. The diplomatic engagements signal ongoing regional support for Lebanon as it navigates complex political and social dynamics.
