Qatar is participating in the second Global Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Forum, which opened on October 5 in Riyadh under the theme "From Commitment to Impact." The two-day event gathers ministers, officials, experts, and specialists in the field of CSR to discuss developments and challenges in promoting social responsibility worldwide.

Representing Qatar at the forum is HE the Minister of Social Development and Family Buthaina bint Ali al-Jabr al-Nuaimi. Her involvement highlights Qatar’s dedication to reinforcing the social responsibility ecosystem and fostering cooperation among government, private sector, and non-profit organizations. This approach aims to maximize social impact and support sustainable development.

During an international ministerial session titled "Promoting CSR at the Global Level," HE al-Nuaimi discussed the evolution of social responsibility, emphasizing the pivotal roles played by different sectors in broadening CSR’s reach. The session covered topics such as key obstacles, successful initiatives, incentives for private sector engagement, and the significance of national indicators in measuring CSR progress and impact.

HE al-Nuaimi shared insights into Qatar’s national experience with social responsibility, highlighting initiatives designed to encourage community participation, cultivate a culture of shared responsibility, and expand cross-sector partnerships. These efforts are aligned with advancing Qatar’s social priorities and contributing to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.

In addition to the forum sessions, Qatar’s participation offers opportunities to exchange expertise with other countries and organizations, identify areas of shared interest, and learn from successful practices that could further develop Qatar’s national CSR initiatives and enhance their lasting societal benefits.

On the sidelines of the event, HE al-Nuaimi met with Turkiye’s Minister of Family and Social Services Mahinur Ozdemir. The two officials reviewed cooperation in social work and family affairs, exchanging views on strengthening collaboration between their respective countries.
