Qatar took part in the Istanbul Justice Summit 2026, held in Turkiye on October 8 and 9. The country was represented by Amer Saeed al-Ghafri, Assistant Undersecretary of the Ministry of Justice for Real Estate Registration and Documentation Affairs, alongside Qatar’s Consul General in Istanbul, Dr. Nayef bin Jassim al-Abduljabbar.
The summit convened international decision-makers, legal experts, and specialists to exchange knowledge and discuss common challenges facing justice systems worldwide. Key topics included international humanitarian law, human rights, international arbitration, and prospects for the legal profession in a rapidly evolving global context.
Sessions also explored the impact of technological advancements such as artificial intelligence, the rise of cybercrime, and the evolving mechanisms needed to deliver justice in an increasingly digital environment.
Qatar’s engagement in the event underscored its Ministry of Justice’s dedication to sharing and adopting international best practices. The participation aligns with Qatar’s broader strategic objectives to modernize its legal framework and enhance the justice sector, supporting sustainable development and responding to global trends.
