Qatar will serve as the guest of honour at the 40th Jerash Festival for Culture and Arts, scheduled to take place in Jordan from July 22 to August 2. The festival, held under the theme "A Legacy That Endures… Generations Meet," aims to highlight cultural continuity and intergenerational exchange.

Represented by its Ministry of Culture, Qatar will present a comprehensive cultural and artistic programme that emphasizes its national heritage and cultural identity. The participation underscores ongoing efforts to strengthen cultural cooperation between Qatar and Jordan, as well as Qatar’s broader commitment to promoting its cultural presence across Arab cultural events.

At the festival, Qatar will establish an official pavilion designed to offer attendees an immersive experience of the country’s cultural landscape. This exhibition will feature select items that reflect key elements of Qatari heritage. Additionally, the Qatar Poetry Centre will host poetry evenings showcasing poets who have been recognized through the Mathayel Nabati Poetry Competition.

Visitors will also experience traditional folk performances by the Qatari folkloric group “Al Jubailat,” led by the artiste Omar Bou Saqr. The country’s participation will culminate in a musical concert featuring performances by artists Ali Abdul Sattar and Mansoor al-Muhannadi.

Officials indicated that Qatar’s involvement in the Jerash Festival aligns with its Ministry of Culture's broader strategy to enhance cultural exchange and to highlight Qatar’s literary, artistic, and heritage achievements within the Arab cultural sphere.
