QatarEnergy LNG has been recognized with the 2025 Qatarisation Award for “Best Qatarisation Progress,” marking a significant achievement in its ongoing efforts to integrate and develop Qatari nationals within its workforce. The award was presented under the patronage of HE Saad bin Sherida al-Kaabi, Minister of State for Energy Affairs and President and CEO of QatarEnergy, during the Energy Sector’s Annual Qatarisation Review Meeting held recently at QatarEnergy’s headquarters in Doha.
The annual awards celebrate companies in Qatar’s energy sector that demonstrate consistent excellence in embedding Qatarisation—a national strategy aimed at increasing the participation of Qataris in the workforce—directly into their business operations. QatarEnergy LNG’s accomplishment represents the highest level of recognition in this arena, reflecting a sustained commitment to empowering local talent through various initiatives.
QatarEnergy LNG’s journey toward advancing Qatarisation has been marked by a series of accolades over recent years. The company received the Support and Liaison with the Education Sector certificate in 2018, followed by awards for Support for Training and Development in 2019 and 2020. In 2021, QatarEnergy LNG was granted the Best Qatarisation Progress Award, then the Supporting Qatarisation Award in 2022, and once again recognized for training and development efforts in 2023, culminating in the top honor for 2025.
Throughout 2025, the company pursued several key strategies aligned with its five-year Qatarisation intake plan. Targeted outreach programs aimed at young Qatari nationals played a central role in strengthening recruitment and human resource pipelines. QatarEnergy LNG also emphasized mentorship, counselling, and systematic progress reviews for national employees under development.
Further supporting the initiative, the company maintains robust competency frameworks for every role, offers specialised training pathways, and provides clear opportunities for career advancement and leadership development. These efforts have contributed to QatarEnergy LNG’s reputation as a preferred employer for Qatari talent within the country’s energy sector.
