The third Summer Festival for Purebred Arabian Camels in 2026 concluded its preliminary races on the evening of August 29, with the fifth and final qualifying event drawing fierce competition among participants. The multi-day preliminary rounds featured a total of 25 races for both female and male camels, attracting owners and trainers from Qatar as well as other Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries.

In the final round of qualifiers, the winner of the primary female camel race completed the course in 2 minutes and 53 seconds. The leading male camel in the corresponding main race recorded a time of 2 minutes and 51.59 seconds. The runners-up for the male competition finished closely behind, with recorded times of 2:52.21 and 2:53.19 minutes respectively. These results highlighted the tight margins and intense rivalry among competitors.

With the preliminary stage now concluded, the festival is set to advance to the final race, which will feature the top 10 camels from the qualifying rounds. The event has continued to build on the achievements of its previous editions, providing a prominent platform for camel owners and trainers to demonstrate the quality of their animals and their expertise in racing.
