The Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development (QF) and the Social and Sport Contribution Fund (DAAM) have entered into a funding agreement to support the “Rasekh” initiative, an educational framework designed to integrate high-quality international education with Arabic language and cultural identity.

The agreement, formalized during the Rasekh Strategic Forum held this week at Multaqa in Education City Student Centre, aims to enhance national partnerships focused on delivering education that is both globally oriented and deeply rooted in local values. At the forum, QF launched the Rasekh Framework and Accreditation system and announced the first schools to participate in the program.

Under the terms of the partnership, DAAM will provide financial backing to expand Rasekh’s reach across QF schools and private international schools in Qatar and the wider region. The initiative seeks to embed language, identity, and values into the everyday learning experience by promoting Arabic as a medium of learning, adapting international curricula to the local context, integrating ethical values and citizenship into school life, and linking educational outcomes with both local and global innovation.

The collaborative effort will focus on the development of educational resources, enhancing teacher training, implementing the Rasekh Framework and Accreditation system, and increasing the number of schools participating in the initiative.

Sheikha Noof Ahmed bin Saif al-Thani, vice president for Strategic Educational Initiatives at QF’s Pre-University Education sector, highlighted the importance of nurturing students’ connection to their language and identity. She emphasized that Rasekh aims to equip students with the confidence to express themselves, innovate, and engage with the world while maintaining a strong cultural foundation.

DAAM programme director Hassan Yousef al-Obaidly underscored the fund’s commitment to investing in the youth and strengthening their ties to national values, viewing these elements as critical to the future of society. The partnership reflects a shared vision between QF and DAAM to create an educational environment that balances international standards with cultural relevance.
