Qatar Financial Centre (QFC) has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with CCI France Qatar, the French Chamber of Commerce in Qatar, aimed at enhancing trade, investment, and business collaboration between Qatar and France. The agreement seeks to establish a formal framework to foster closer engagement between the French and Qatari business communities and promote Qatar, particularly the QFC, as an attractive hub for French companies, entrepreneurs, and investors looking to establish or expand their presence in the region.

The partnership outlines joint efforts to organise various activities, including business forums, roundtables, delegation visits, and events held both in Qatar and France. Additionally, these initiatives will be supported by digital platforms to facilitate broader outreach. Both parties will also collaborate on knowledge-sharing programs and promote relevant activities through their respective networks and communication channels.

Mansoor Rashid Al Khater, Chief Executive Officer of QFC, emphasized the importance of the agreement by noting France’s status as one of Qatar’s significant economic partners. He highlighted the MoU as a means to deepen business-level relations and provide a structured pathway for French entities to explore opportunities within Qatar’s evolving market.

Edouard Thevenin, President of CCI France Qatar, described the MoU as a reinforcement of the long-standing strategic partnership between the two organisations, grounded in shared values and mutual vision. He stressed that the agreement would contribute to strengthening economic ties and enhancing collaboration between Qatar and France.

The MoU reflects ongoing efforts by both parties to boost bilateral economic engagement and support investment flows between the two countries through sustained cooperation and connectivity.
