Qatar Media Corporation (QMC) secured six silver awards at the 26th Arab Radio and Television Festival held in Tunisia, highlighting the broadcaster’s achievements across multiple television and radio categories. The festival, organised annually by the Arab States Broadcasting Union, aims to recognise excellence in media production and foster collaboration among Arab radio and television organisations.

Qatar TV was honoured with four silver awards at the event. Two of these were presented in the programme exchange categories, including recognition for the documentary “Souq Waqif: A Renewed Memory” and the television programme exchange planning department. Additionally, the channel received awards for the comedy series “Maradi and Dahham 3” and the documentary “Gaza: The Nightmare - Part Two,” the latter entered in the category focused on television films and documentaries addressing the Palestinian cause.

Qatar Radio earned two silver awards, one acknowledging its role in radio programme exchanges among member states and the other awarded in the sports programmes category for the show “A Simple Difference.”

The festival serves as an important regional platform for Arab broadcasters to showcase their work, encourage creative competition, and strengthen media cooperation across the Arab world.
