Qatar News Agency (QNA) is conducting a three-day training course on graphic design as part of its 2026 training program at the QNA Training Center. The course, which includes participation from both QNA staff and employees of various government entities, aims to improve participants' design capabilities and creative skills to meet the demands of contemporary media environments.
Led by graphic designer Aws Khalil, the training covers a broad range of topics, including advanced design principles and the development of visual identities. Participants review fundamental design concepts and examine the distinctions between traditional and advanced design methods. The program also includes an analysis of successful brand identities and a practical workshop where trainees apply learned concepts by creating a visual identity for a hypothetical project.
The curriculum emphasizes the advanced use of industry-standard design software such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign. Participants explore sophisticated techniques in image compositing and editing, infographic and interactive content design, and the strategic use of layers, filters, and effects. Additionally, the course offers a workshop focused on producing professional multimedia advertisements.
Contemporary graphic design trends form a key component of the program, with sessions on minimalist design, 3D design, animation, and digital content creation tailored for social media platforms. The training also addresses essential aspects of design project management and client relations to equip participants with both creative and administrative skills. The course concludes with a final project requiring participants to develop a comprehensive media campaign.
This initiative is part of QNA’s broader strategy to enhance the professional and creative skills of its workforce, bolster technical design capabilities, and align media production with the latest trends in visual content. Through such efforts, QNA aims to raise the quality of media outputs and promote the effective integration of modern design tools in media work across various government entities.
