The Qatar News Agency (QNA) has introduced a new training course titled “The Multimedia Journalist” as part of its 2026 training plan, aiming to equip journalists with skills to produce content suitable for multiple media platforms. The three-day program, led by QNA media professional Mazen al-Nuaimi, focuses on preparing media practitioners for the demands of the rapidly evolving digital landscape.
The course curriculum emphasizes the fundamentals of comprehensive journalism, with a particular focus on editing and writing for both traditional and digital media outlets. Participants also learn techniques for creating reports and visual stories in field settings. A significant component of the training is dedicated to producing multimedia content, incorporating various formats to enhance the storytelling process.
In addition, the program addresses the role of artificial intelligence (AI) in journalism, exploring key applications of AI technologies and how they can be leveraged to improve professional performance as well as the efficiency and quality of media production.
This initiative forms part of QNA’s broader strategy, executed through its QNA Training Centre, to develop national media competencies in line with ongoing advancements in the media sector. By fostering these skills, QNA aims to contribute to the enhancement of media content quality and overall production standards across the industry.
