QNB Group has announced the full allocation of shares subscribed in the initial public offering (IPO) of Dandy Ltd Company, a significant step toward the company’s planned listing on the Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE). Following the allocation, trading in Dandy’s shares is anticipated to begin in November, pending the completion of final admission procedures.
Dandy is offering 40 percent of its equity to investors through the IPO, aiming to diversify its ownership and tap into Qatar’s capital markets. The offering has drawn substantial interest from institutional investors, including insurance firms and private investment companies, according to QNB Group.
A total of 41.2 million shares were allocated at a price of QR5.01 per share, resulting in an offering size of QR206.412 million, inclusive of fees related to the offering and listing. Once listed, Dandy is expected to reach a market capitalization of approximately QR515 million.
QNB Group served as the lead receiving bank for the IPO, with participation from other financial institutions such as Ahli Bank, AlRayan Bank, The Commercial Bank, Doha Bank, Dukhan Bank, Qatar International Islamic Bank, and Qatar Islamic Bank. Maroon Capital Advisory acted as the offering and listing advisor.
This allocation finalizes a crucial phase in Dandy’s transition to becoming a publicly traded company, expanding the investment options available in Qatar’s capital markets. The upcoming listing will enable investors to buy and sell the company’s equity shares through the stock exchange once trading is initiated.
QNB Group highlighted its involvement in the IPO as part of the broader role of Qatar’s banking sector in facilitating the development of national financial markets. By supporting firms in raising capital through public offerings, banks play a key role in broadening the investor base and fostering private-sector growth. Such activity aligns with Qatar’s goals under its National Vision 2030 framework, targeting economic diversification and sustainable development.
Trading in Dandy’s shares is expected to begin in November, contingent on the successful completion of all remaining listing requirements.
