QNB Group, a leading financial institution in the Middle East and Africa, expanded its international financing activities in the third quarter of 2026, supporting significant investments in artificial intelligence (AI) and digital infrastructure across multiple regions. The organization demonstrated its capacity to mobilize cross-border capital through coordinated efforts of its global teams, facilitating projects in Asia, Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.

During this period, QNB accelerated financing for key technology infrastructure, including an up to $3.1 billion senior term loan facility for ZanKore’s AI Compute Platform, backed by NVIDIA-powered AI and GPU cloud technology. Teams based in Singapore and Indonesia collaborated with international banking partners in this effort. Simultaneously, QNB’s London office worked with Paris and Singapore teams on refinancing six hyperscale data centers located in Dublin, Frankfurt, and Paris, supporting infrastructure owned by Equinix and GIC. This refinancing underscored the demand for large-scale computing capacity essential for global technology firms. Additionally, QNB Indonesia led a syndicated loan facility of approximately $590 million aimed at expanding PT Nusantara Fiber Teknologi’s fiber optic network by about 86,000 kilometers, enhancing digital connectivity in the region.

The Group’s capital markets capabilities were highlighted through QNB Capital’s role as global coordinator in Qatar’s $3 billion dual-tranche bond issuance, which attracted investor orders exceeding $6 billion. This oversubscription illustrated strong international demand and QNB Capital’s ability to connect sovereign financing with global capital markets.

Beyond digital infrastructure, QNB took leading roles in real estate and broader business financing. In Singapore, QNB acted as core underwriter and global coordinator for ESR’s five-year refinancing facility, which surpassed its initial $2 billion target due to strong lender interest. This was the first global coordinator mandate handled by QNB Singapore. In Europe, QNB London secured its inaugural underwriting mandate with Brookfield, serving as mandated lead arranger and bookrunner on a senior financing transaction worth approximately $584 million supporting Hibernia Real Estate Group’s Dublin portfolio. In Turkiye, QNB Leasing arranged syndicated financing exceeding $117 million from international commercial banks, broadening its funding framework.

The Group’s activities also extended to smaller businesses and economic development initiatives in Africa. In Tunisia, QNB contributed 33 percent to a syndicated financing facility for Advans Tunisia, aimed at enhancing funding for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). In Egypt, the Group facilitated financing for the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport’s new international school campus in Alexandria and collaborated with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development on the SME Champions Programme.

Complementing its financing efforts, QNB continued to improve access to payments and banking services. Notably, in Syria, QNB Syria enabled international Mastercard payments through its point-of-sale infrastructure for the first time in over 15 years, issuing the country’s first internationally accepted payment card in partnership with Mastercard to extend global payment access for local customers.

QNB Group Chief Executive Officer Abdulla Mubarak Al Khalifa emphasized the bank’s role in supporting the economic shift toward AI and digital infrastructure by leveraging scalable cross-border financing and deep local market understanding to drive sustainable investment and long-term growth.
