QNB Group and Qatar Islamic Bank (QIB) have both been honored with multiple awards at the Euromoney Awards for Excellence 2026, highlighting their leading roles in Qatar’s banking sector and their continued focus on digital innovation, customer experience, and sustainability.

QNB Group secured four notable titles, including Qatar’s Best Digital Bank, Qatar’s Best Bank for Digital Customer Experience, Qatar’s Best Bank for ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance), and the Middle East’s Best Bank for Diversity and Inclusion. These recognitions underscore QNB’s ongoing investment in digital transformation, advanced technologies, sustainability practices, and inclusive workplace culture. Senior Executive Vice President of Group Retail Banking, Adel Ali Al Malki, emphasized the bank’s commitment to customer-centric digital solutions and innovation as central to its strategic vision. Executive Vice President of Group Strategy and Business Development, Najla Ibrahim Al Mutawa, highlighted QNB’s ambition to build a future-ready banking group that fosters long-term value creation for customers, shareholders, and communities as it expands internationally.

In addition to the Euromoney awards, QNB recently received five international accolades acknowledging its excellence in multi-channel offerings, omni-channel customer experience, mobile banking, and social media marketing in the Middle East and North Africa.

Meanwhile, QIB was recognized with three awards: Qatar’s Best Bank, Qatar’s Best Digital Bank for Consumers, and Qatar’s Best Bank for SMEs. These honors reflect the bank’s robust financial performance, market leadership, and dedication to supporting economic growth through innovative, Shari’a-compliant solutions. For the six months ending June 30, 2026, QIB reported a net profit attributable to shareholders of QR2.225 billion, a 2.3 percent increase compared to the prior year, and total assets of QR234 billion, marking a 10.4 percent growth. The bank also maintained a cost-to-income ratio of 16.4 percent, noted as the most efficient in the Qatari banking sector.

QIB’s digital capabilities continue to advance with the rollout of new services such as the QIB Junior App targeting younger customers, account opening via the QIB Lite App, and enhanced payment solutions, supporting over 320 features on its mobile platform. The award for best bank for SMEs recognizes QIB’s support for a crucial segment of Qatar’s economy through tailored financial and digital services aimed at business growth and efficiency.
