Qatar Science and Technology Secondary School for Boys (QSTSS) marked the graduation of its fifth cohort for the 2025-2026 academic year, with all 56 graduates securing admission to universities within Qatar and internationally. The ceremony was attended by HE Minister of Education and Higher Education Lolwah bint Rashid AlKhater, alongside senior officials including HE Undersecretary Dr Ibrahim bin Saleh al-Nuaimi, Assistant Undersecretary for Educational Affairs Maha Zayed Qaqaa Alruwaili, and QSTSS Principal Mohammed Ali Mandani al-Emadi.
The Ministry of Education and Higher Education (MoEHE) reported that the graduates earned places at 14 universities spanning five countries. Among these, seven students were accepted into prestigious global institutions. Mechanical engineering was the most chosen field of study, followed by medicine and electrical engineering. Other disciplines include petroleum and gas engineering, chemical engineering, computer science, cybersecurity, nuclear engineering, and aerospace engineering.
The cohort demonstrated strong performance in international standardized tests, with an average SAT score of 1,169, and a top score of 1,530. In English language proficiency, the group achieved an average IELTS score of 7.06, with one student attaining a score of 8.0.
During the ceremony, Assistant Undersecretary Maha Zayed Qaqaa Alruwaili emphasized QSTSS’s role as a pioneering educational institution that aligns with MoEHE’s vision to advance Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) education. She commended the students’ academic and research accomplishments, highlighting the school’s contribution to preparing a generation equipped with the knowledge and skills necessary to address future challenges.
Alruwaili underscored that investments in high-quality education, as demonstrated by QSTSS’s results, are essential to fulfilling the objectives of Qatar National Vision 2030. The ceremony brought together educational leaders, parents, and staff, celebrating the graduates’ achievements and the school’s continued commitment to excellence in STEM education.
