Max Verstappen secured pole position for Sunday’s Singapore Grand Prix after delivering the fastest qualifying time on the city’s challenging street circuit. Verstappen, driving for Red Bull, will start from the front of the grid as the race gets underway later today.

Charles Leclerc will line up alongside Verstappen in second place, with Ferrari teammate Lewis Hamilton qualifying in third. Mercedes driver Kimi Antonelli claimed fourth, followed by McLaren's Lando Norris in fifth.

George Russell, who qualified sixth, faces a setback as he will start the race from the back of the grid due to an engine penalty. Russell’s weekend was further complicated when he crashed out on the opening lap of the sprint race, where he had been leading before the incident.

The remainder of the top 10 includes Oscar Piastri in seventh for McLaren, Alpine’s Pierre Gasly in eighth, and Racing Bulls drivers Liam Lawson and Arvid Lindblad rounding out the top ten in ninth and tenth respectively.

The qualifying results set the stage for a highly anticipated main event, with Verstappen looking to maintain his dominance and Ferrari seeking to challenge Red Bull’s pace on the street circuit. Meanwhile, Russell faces a significant challenge after his early sprint exit and subsequent grid penalty.
