Quavo, the Grammy-nominated rapper and former member of the hip-hop group Migos, has released a new album titled “QRÖMELIFE,” marking a shift in his artistic focus toward fatherhood, healing, and personal growth. The album, which debuted on Friday, comprises 14 tracks and is executive produced by Pharrell Williams, who Quavo credits with helping him reconnect with his melodic roots and tune out distractions.

“QRÖMELIFE” features collaborations with several high-profile artists, including Justin Timberlake, Tyler, The Creator, A$AP Rocky, Future, and Lil Baby. The project also reunites Quavo with Offset, his former Migos bandmate, following a public falling out in 2022. The two have since reconciled and grown closer, especially in the aftermath of the death of another Migos member and Quavo’s nephew, Takeoff.

Quavo described the album’s title as a representation of resilience and perseverance, referring to “QRÖMELIFE” as a "state" that helps people push through challenges in their daily lives. He emphasized that fatherhood has profoundly reshaped his priorities, noting the responsibility of raising a child and the desire to break cycles from his own upbringing, having lost his father at a young age.

Pharrell Williams’ involvement on the album brought an emphasis on versatility and artistic challenge, which Quavo said encouraged him to revisit several distinct phases of his career. He acknowledged Pharrell as a mentor and praised the producer’s business acumen and influence on his creative process.

The release coincides with a resurgence in popularity of the 2022 Migos performance of “Hotel Lobby,” which has become a viral phenomenon through widespread AI-generated videos featuring diverse figures ranging from Barack and Michelle Obama to fictional characters and athletes. While some fans have embraced this trend as a tribute, others have expressed discomfort with the use of AI-generated images of the late Takeoff. Quavo acknowledged the mixed reactions but said he prefers not to expend energy controlling such content and instead focuses on staying mentally strong.

Looking ahead, Quavo expressed interest in producing a final Migos album, mindful of the loss of Takeoff and the challenge of honoring his legacy authentically. He described ongoing collaborations with Offset as creative and fluid, reflecting an evolving approach to group dynamics. Any new Migos project, Quavo said, would aim to respect Takeoff’s vision and benefit both the remaining members and Takeoff’s estate.

Quavo also discussed his work through the Rocket Foundation, an organization that has helped him confront personal grief and support families in similar situations. He described feeling a responsibility to guide others while navigating his own healing process, viewing this role as both a challenge and a source of strength.
