Qurayat and Al Amerat extended their unbeaten runs in the second stage of the 2026/27 Women’s Futsal League, both securing victories in the third round held at the Sultan Qaboos Sports Complex in Bausher.
Qurayat edged past Masirah in a tightly contested match, finishing 4-3. The game was closely fought throughout, with Qurayat holding on to claim their second consecutive win of the stage. This result followed their opening 4-1 victory over Al Bashayer, allowing Qurayat to maintain a perfect record with six points from two matches and bolster their position in the title race.
Masirah entered the match looking to build on their strong 8-1 win over Al Shabab in the previous round but were unable to rally against Qurayat, suffering their second loss of the stage. Masirah had also faced a 6-2 defeat to Al Amerat in the opening round, leaving them with three points from three matches.
In the later fixture, Al Amerat delivered a commanding performance by defeating Al Shabab 10-1. After sitting out the second round following a convincing opening 6-2 victory against Masirah, Al Amerat returned with a display of attacking strength, repeatedly breaking down Al Shabab’s defense. This victory gave Al Amerat six points from two games, matching Qurayat’s tally.
Al Shabab continued to struggle, extending their losing streak to three matches. They have yet to earn a point, losing 9-0 to Al Bashayer in the first round, 8-1 to Masirah in the second, and now 10-1 to Al Amerat. Defensive shortcomings have been apparent, and the team will be looking to improve in the upcoming fixtures.
With the second stage structured in a double round-robin format, all five participating clubs still have multiple opportunities to influence the league standings. Qurayat and Al Amerat aim to maintain their winning momentum, while Masirah, Al Bashayer—which holds three points after a rest day in round three—and Al Shabab seek to narrow the gap in what remains a closely contested title race.
