Rafeeq and Qatar Charity’s Alaqraboon Centre have partnered to launch “Share the Reward,” a new digital giving initiative aimed at supporting low-income families in Qatar. The program enables donors to contribute directly to specific needs through the Rafeeq mobile app, allowing them to select assistance categories such as meals, food supplies, school essentials, clothing, and medical aid.

Under the agreement, Alaqraboon Centre will be responsible for assessing cases, verifying eligibility, and prioritizing needs, while Rafeeq will provide the technological platform to facilitate donations and highlight the initiative within its app. The collaboration seeks to streamline charitable giving by connecting contributions with targeted, verified requirements among vulnerable communities.

Faisal Rashid al-Fehaida, executive director of Alaqraboon Centre, emphasized the role of partnerships and technology in enhancing community support. He noted that “Share the Reward” aims to create accessible channels for community members to address tangible needs, fostering values of solidarity and social responsibility. Al-Fehaida encouraged Rafeeq users to participate, highlighting that even modest contributions can have significant impacts on individuals and families facing financial challenges. He also expressed hope that the initiative would inspire additional collaborations between businesses and charitable organizations to promote sustainable social development.

Abdullah Thamer al-Hemeidi, CEO of Rafeeq, described the initiative as part of the company’s broader commitment to societal engagement. He explained that leveraging technology to simplify the process of giving and maintaining recipients’ dignity was a priority, ensuring that support reaches the intended beneficiaries effectively. Al-Hemeidi expressed pride in the alliance with Alaqraboon Centre and anticipated that the partnership would exemplify successful cooperation between the private sector and charitable institutions.

The “Share the Reward” initiative reflects growing efforts in Qatar to employ digital solutions to enhance philanthropy and address social welfare needs, particularly amid ongoing economic pressures affecting vulnerable populations. Through this collaboration, Rafeeq and Alaqraboon Centre aim to facilitate more transparent and direct aid distribution, encouraging broader community involvement in helping low-income families across the country.
