The Los Angeles Dodgers’ scheduled game against the New York Yankees on Saturday was postponed due to rain and rescheduled as part of a split doubleheader on Sunday in the Bronx. This marked the Dodgers’ first postponement of the season.

The rescheduled games will begin with Game 1 at 9:35 a.m. Pacific Daylight Time, followed by Game 2 at 4:20 p.m. The morning game will be broadcast on SNLA, while NBC/Peacock will air the second game. Saturday’s matchup had been set to start at 5:08 p.m. PDT on Fox, but persistent rain led officials to announce the postponement over three hours before the original scheduled start time.

Pitching assignments were adjusted due to the change. Emmet Sheehan, who was slated to start on Saturday, was removed from the rotation. Instead, Yoshinobu Yamamoto, originally scheduled to start on Sunday morning, will now take the mound for the first game. The Dodgers have not yet announced a starter for the afternoon contest.
