Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Puka Nacua is listed as questionable for Sunday’s game against the Las Vegas Raiders due to a calf injury, coach Sean McVay confirmed Friday. Nacua sat out practice after experiencing discomfort, and his participation in the upcoming game remains uncertain pending a game-time decision.
Nacua participated in most of Thursday’s practice but was unable to finish the session. McVay indicated that medical evaluations uncovered a minor injury, though the exact moment of occurrence is unclear. “He felt it where he wasn’t able to have some of the power and full explosion,” McVay said, noting that Nacua could not pinpoint the specific play that led to the injury.
The wide receiver has already dealt with a hip injury this season, causing him to miss the Rams’ second and third games after playing in the season opener against the San Francisco 49ers. Since then, Nacua has recorded over 100 receiving yards in two consecutive games and caught six passes for 80 yards in last Sunday’s 18-16 loss to the Arizona Cardinals.
Currently leading the NFL in receptions in 2025, Nacua has amassed 37 catches for 417 yards and one receiving touchdown, along with a rushing touchdown this season.
Nacua’s calf injury adds to the Rams’ ongoing injury challenges. The team entered the season favored to win Super Bowl LXI but has seen its performance decline, losing its last two games to drop to a 2-4 record. The team’s receiving corps has been significantly impacted, with star wide receiver Davante Adams sidelined for an estimated six to 10 weeks after sustaining a hamstring injury against the Cardinals. Other receivers on the roster include Jordan Whittington, Konata Mumpfield, Tutu Atwell, and rookie CJ Daniels.
