The Royal Army of Oman (RAO) Music Band achieved notable success at the World Music Championships held in Scotland, securing several top positions across multiple events in Dundonald and Bridge of Allan.

In Dundonald, the band earned first place in the Infantry and Discipline category, as well as being recognized as the best team from outside the United Kingdom. Additionally, it secured second and third places in the overall international rankings, underscoring the band’s high level of professionalism and discipline.

In individual competition, Staff Sergeant Mahmoud bin Yousuf al Sinani took first place in the Baton Bearers contest, with Warrant Officer Mohammed bin Khamis al Amri and Captain Hamid bin Sulaiman al Ghafri placing third and fourth, respectively.

At Bridge of Allan, the band maintained its strong performance by securing second place globally in Level Three. In the Baton Bearers competition at this venue, Warrant Officer Mohammed bin Khamis al Amri claimed first place, Captain Hamid bin Sulaiman al Ghafri finished third, and Staff Sergeant Nader bin Jamaan al Jabali came fourth.

Captain (Retired) Ahmed bin Ali al Rashdi, one of the band’s trainers, commented that the results were a source of pride and reflected the sustained effort and dedication of the entire team.
