Sean "Diddy" Combs, the music producer convicted on prostitution-related charges, has been transferred from a federal prison in New Jersey to one in Pennsylvania following reports of a fight and allegations of preferential treatment while incarcerated. The Bureau of Prisons confirmed on October 16 that Combs, 56, was moved from Fort Dix, a low-security facility in New Jersey, to Allenwood Low, another low-security prison located in Pennsylvania. Allenwood Low houses approximately 1,000 inmates, compared to Fort Dix’s population of about 4,000.

Media reports indicated that Combs was treated for a head injury after an altercation with another inmate over the past weekend. Earlier reports also detailed claims that Combs received special privileges at Fort Dix, including access to contraband mobile phones and alcohol, as well as having other inmates cook, clean, and provide Chinese-style massages. The Bureau of Prisons declined to specify the reasons for Combs's transfer, citing privacy, safety, and security concerns.

Combs was sentenced in 2025 following a high-profile trial centered on alleged sexual activities involving hired male escorts, his former girlfriend Casandra Ventura, and another unidentified woman. While a jury acquitted him of the most severe charges of sex trafficking and racketeering, he was found guilty on two counts related to transporting individuals across state lines for prostitution. Combs is currently serving his sentence and is scheduled for release in March 2028.
