Allen, who initially struggled to earn consistent playing time, stepped into the starting lineup during an injury absence by Leonie Fiebich. That opportunity helped her find a rhythm and gain confidence within the team’s offensive system.

Over the past 15 games, Allen has shown marked improvement from beyond the arc, averaging two made three-pointers per contest while shooting an impressive 50.8 percent from deep. On Sunday, she provided a vital scoring spark off the bench, connecting on four of seven three-point attempts en route to 14 points.

“I’ve just tried to stay true to the process of it all,” Allen said, explaining that her approach to the game has remained consistent. She noted that maintaining composure and growing comfortable within the offense have been key to her recent success, including being more patient during possessions.

The Liberty offense operated at a high level against Toronto, recording 29 assists on 39 field goals and sinking 16 triples in total. Forward Pauline Astier highlighted the team’s defensive improvements as a factor in their offensive efficiency. Astier herself delivered a career-best rebounding night, pulling down nine boards—surpassing her previous high of eight set on June 11 in Atlanta. She also contributed 10 points and three assists in the game.

Despite her own struggles with a back injury this season, star guard Sabrina Ionescu continued to influence the game, dishing out a team-high nine assists despite going 0-for-7 from the field in the first half. She nearly reached double-digit assists, but Astier missed an opportunity that would have extended her total.
