Renovation and reconstruction efforts are ongoing in Tiddim Township, with several public facilities receiving upgrades as part of the area’s recovery initiatives. The projects include improvements to educational institutions, government offices, and healthcare facilities.

Recently, work has been carried out on the Monastery Education School, Border Area Ethnic Youth Training School, and the Domestic Vocational Training School. Staff housing for the Township Religious Affairs Office, the Cooperative Department, and the Township Election Commission Office has also been renovated. Additionally, a new 100-bed extension ward has been added to the Township Hospital to expand medical capacity.

On the morning of September 10, Deputy Minister for Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement Dr. Thant Zaw Lwin, along with Chin State Minister for Natural Resources U Win Zaw Oo and members of the Chin State Rehabilitation and Reconstruction Committee, conducted an inspection of the ongoing work in Tiddim Township. The delegation’s activities included engaging with local religious leaders, receiving the Five Precepts from Sayadaw Ashin Pu ñña Nanda at the Theravada Buddhist Missionary Centre located in Myoma Ward. They also presented Waso robes and held discussions on religious affairs.

The inspection tour extended to Basic Education High School No. 1, where officials reviewed programs related to industrial, agricultural, and livestock-breeding studies. The team also examined the damages sustained by the Township Immigration and Population Department building. While the department’s operations are temporarily being conducted at Khwado Hall, officials were present to distribute citizenship scrutiny cards to students.

These coordinated efforts aim to support the township’s recovery by enhancing educational infrastructure, healthcare services, and administrative functions, thereby promoting community resilience and development in Chin State.
