Redditch United secured a late comeback victory with two goals in a three-minute span during the second half to overturn an early deficit. The match, contested on Saturday, saw the visitors fall behind before rallying to claim all three points.
The opening stages were closely contested, but the visitors broke the deadlock in the 24th minute. Tyrone Barker, standing out with his performance on the right flank, cut inside and struck a low shot from just outside the penalty area that beat goalkeeper Rory Brown. Shortly after, Jake Thompson nearly doubled the advantage for the visitors when his header struck the post.
Redditch began to find their rhythm as the first half progressed. Aram Soleman had a free kick saved shortly before halftime, but the home side leveled the score just before the interval. Szhem White-Hall was left unmarked at a corner and converted confidently.
In the second half, chances came at both ends. Jack Smith’s free kick hit the crossbar, and Brown was compelled to save a close-range attempt from Frank Norris. On the other side, Tyler Bruck forced an impressive save from the visiting keeper around the hour mark, and White-Hall saw a shot cleared off the line.
With 18 minutes remaining, Redditch took the lead when Billy Fielding was found unmarked and headed in past Callum Barnes. The visitors were still recovering from that setback when the home team extended their lead soon after. Harrison Hazard, on loan from Notts County, scored from close range to secure the win for Redditch United.
The result marked a significant turnaround for the home side, who overcame an early deficit to claim victory in a closely fought encounter.
