Ticket sales have opened for the 2026 BilAraby Annual Gathering, organized by Qatar Foundation’s BilAraby initiative. The event is scheduled to take place on September 19 and 20 at Multaqa, the Education City Student Centre in Doha, under the theme “With Our Ideas, We Build.”

The gathering aims to foster dialogue on contemporary societal issues while promoting Arabic as a dynamic language of thought and creativity rather than merely a medium for communication. The two-day programme will include keynote speeches by prominent figures, panel discussions, workshops, exhibitions, and interactive sessions. It seeks to highlight innovative solutions and forward-thinking ideas presented by Arab-speaking contributors across a range of fields.

Key focus areas include technology and environmental sustainability, the reinvigoration of educational discourse, community empowerment, and the enhancement of Arabic digital tools to strengthen the language’s presence in modern digital environments. The event will serve as a platform for showcasing how Arab ideas can translate into practical initiatives that contribute to development and human-centred progress.

BilAraby has recently finished reviewing applications for participation in the 2026 gathering. The process attracted significant interest, with more than 1,600 proposals submitted by speakers representing Arab communities from over 34 countries worldwide. A preliminary shortlist has been finalized, featuring a diverse group of distinguished voices selected for their capacity to advance meaningful change through their ideas.

Since its establishment, the BilAraby initiative has positioned itself as a global forum for intellectual exchange and innovation within the Arab world, and this year’s gathering is expected to continue that tradition by bringing together a vibrant community of thought leaders and creators.
