Ringo Starr has expressed his belief that The Beatles might have reunited to create new music if John Lennon and George Harrison had lived longer. In a recent interview, the drummer reflected on the band’s potential for collaboration had all members remained alive.

Starr speculated that a reunion could have occurred sometime after Lennon’s death in 1980, suggesting that the surviving members would have come together at some point between then and the present. “I do think we possibly would have got together sometime from, you know, John leaving us to now, if we were all still around,” he said. He also expressed his personal loss, stating, “And George, you know, I miss George.”

John Lennon was killed in 1980 at the age of 40 when he was shot outside his residence at The Dakota apartments in Manhattan. George Harrison died from cancer in 2001 at the age of 58.

Starr also shared that the aspect he misses most about his time as a Beatle is “the friendship, the togetherness” they shared. His remarks highlight the enduring impact of the band’s legacy and the close bond among its members.
