The family was traveling from Calgary to Estevan after visiting relatives when their vehicle was involved in a collision. Their teenage son, Alfie, was the only survivor and remains in intensive care at a hospital in Regina, with medical staff reporting a hopeful prognosis.

Steve Pratt, Carol’s husband, shared the details of the tragedy in an emotional social media post, expressing his profound grief at the loss of his wife and her parents.
