Xiao compiled a maximum break of 147 in the third frame, marking the fourth 147 of his professional career. Despite Xiao’s early lead and impressive performance, Robertson’s late surge secured his place in the last eight.

Judd Trump also progressed to the quarter-finals with a 6-4 victory over Barry Hawkins. Trump’s win included two century breaks, demonstrating consistent scoring throughout the match. The Shanghai Masters continues to feature intense competition as top players vie for the title.
