Cristiano Ronaldo is leading the Ballon d'Or's B.O.A.T. fan poll, organizers announced on Tuesday. The poll, known as the Ballon d'Or Of All Time, invites fans to vote for their favorite Ballon d'Or-winning season from players who have won the award at least twice.

Ronaldo’s 2008 Ballon d'Or victory, achieved while playing for Manchester United, currently holds the top spot in the poll as of October 20. In the competition, each of Ronaldo’s five Ballon d’Or wins is listed as a separate option. Similarly, all eight of Lionel Messi’s wins appear individually for fans to select.

Voting in the poll requires a fee of €1 per vote, and fans are allowed to cast multiple votes, including for different players or seasons. This system means that the total votes reflect the number of paid entries rather than the count of distinct participants, as each vote corresponds to a separate payment.

The initiative aims to engage football supporters by allowing them to express their preference for standout individual seasons among the sport’s most decorated players. The poll will continue to accept votes, giving fans an ongoing opportunity to influence the ranking of historic Ballon d'Or achievements.
