Willowbrook native and Nazareth Academy graduate Jaden Fauske has demonstrated promising offensive production during his recent stint with the Single-A Kannapolis baseball team. Over the past month, the 19-year-old outfielder posted a batting line including a .273 average, a .340 on-base percentage, and a .432 slugging percentage, while contributing one double, three home runs, and nine runs batted in.

Fauske, now entering his first full professional season after being drafted last year by the organization he supported as a child, acknowledged the adjustment required to meet the demands of the minor league schedule. “In high school, you’d play at most maybe three times a week, and now you’re looking at playing five to six times a week,” he said during a virtual press conference on Friday. Despite the rigorous schedule, Fauske emphasized his enthusiasm for the opportunity, calling the experience “pretty cool” and describing it as a realization of a long-held aspiration.

“I’m still getting used to the pro grind,” he noted, underscoring the physical and mental challenges inherent in professional baseball. Nevertheless, he expressed motivation and a forward-looking perspective: “It’s something I look forward to, understanding that there’s a long way to go and there’s a lot of work to be done.”

Fauske’s early performance and outlook suggest he is adapting steadily to the professional ranks while maintaining the enthusiasm that fueled his journey from local high school standout to professional prospect.
