Ross Kemp and Jerry Hall have been eliminated from the current season of the reality competition series The Celebrity Traitors, following a dramatic round of gameplay aired last night. Kemp, 62, known for his role as Grant Mitchell on EastEnders, was "murdered" by the Traitors after becoming the first contestant to yawn during an intense cliffhanger segment in the previous episode. Comedian James Acaster, one of the three Traitors alongside Love Island host Maya Jama and social media personality King Kenny, confirmed Kemp’s elimination with a quip referencing the yawning incident.

Kemp had earlier expressed suspicion toward fellow contestants Bella Ramsey and Leigh-Anne Pinnock, whom he accused of targeting him. However, the actual elimination came unexpectedly, with Kemp reflecting on the experience as one filled with paranoia. After receiving the news via letter, he commented on the atmosphere of the game, noting how even innocuous gestures could be interpreted as a threat and referencing Shakespeare’s advice to "be true" to oneself. He congratulated the Traitors on their move, adding a playful warning, “I know where you live.”

In a separate vote, Jerry Hall, the 70-year-old former supermodel and fashion icon, was also removed from the competition by the remaining players at the round table. Hall acknowledged the difficulty of the game, describing it as far more challenging than her decades-long career in the highly competitive and occasionally ruthless world of high fashion. She admitted she “should have been better prepared” for the psychological demands of the contest. According to reports from the show, some contestants cited her iconic status as a factor in their decision to vote her out, viewing her as a significant threat.

Meanwhile, the remaining participants took part in a tense challenge inside the Traitors’ lair but failed to add any funds to the prize pot, which currently stands at £46,000. Despite the setback, four contestants—James Acaster, actor Michael Sheen, singer James Blunt, and comedian Joanne McNally—secured individual shields during the mission.

Looking ahead, the show’s next episode will see the elimination of one among Miranda Hart, actor Sebastian Croft, or comedian Romesh Ranganathan, as the Traitors continue their strategic moves within the castle. Host Claudia Winkleman addressed the remaining contestants after the latest elimination, remarking on the unexpected departure of a “legend” from the game.
