The Royal Army of Oman (RAO) marked the graduation of a new group of recruits on Wednesday at the parade ground of the RAO Training Battalion, located within the Royal Army of Oman Academy in Muscat. The ceremony was conducted under the patronage of Rear Admiral Saif bin Nasser al Rahbi, Commander of the Royal Navy of Oman (RNO).
The event commenced with a formal military parade, including a salute to Rear Admiral Saif bin Nasser al Rahbi, who inspected the front line of the graduating troops. The recruits subsequently performed a slow march parade, accompanied by the Royal Army of Oman Music Band, before advancing in a review formation that demonstrated their discipline and readiness.
During the ceremony, Rear Admiral Saif bin Nasser al Rahbi presented certificates to the highest-performing graduates in recognition of their exemplary performance throughout their training. The graduating soldiers then recited the Royal Army of Oman anthem, took a loyalty oath, and proclaimed a call of support, followed by three chants honoring His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik, the Supreme Commander of the Sultan’s Armed Forces.
The music band played the salute of honor as the ceremony concluded. The column commander formally requested permission to dismiss the parade, after which the graduates marched past the main dais in quick march while the band performed a series of military and musical compositions.
Senior officers from the Sultan’s Armed Forces, as well as officers, non-commissioned officers, and personnel from the Royal Army of Oman, attended the event. The graduation ceremony highlighted the RAO’s continued commitment to preparing new recruits for military service and sustaining operational readiness.
