The Royal Army of Oman (RAO) took part in the International Catering Exercise 2026, held over six days in Grantham, United Kingdom. Represented by its Directorate of Catering, the RAO’s team competed against various international military catering units and secured an overall fourth place in the catering corps competition. In addition to this team achievement, the RAO earned several first-place awards in individual contest categories.

The event provided a platform for the RAO to improve the skills and efficiency of its catering personnel by engaging with their counterparts from other nations. Organizers designed the exercise to test participants’ capabilities in managing logistical and administrative tasks under challenging conditions, reflecting the demands often faced in military operations.

By participating in this annual exercise, the RAO aimed to enhance its readiness and the operational effectiveness of its catering services.
