Veteran actress Sue Johnston has expressed interest in participating in a celebrity edition of the BBC1 decluttering series *Sort Your Life Out*, citing concerns about her own struggle with hoarding. Johnston, best known for her role in *The Royle Family*, described her home as “such a mess” and revealed that she finds it difficult to discard possessions.

The series, hosted by Stacey Solomon, has been on air since 2021 and completed six seasons. It features Solomon working alongside professional organiser Dilly Carter, upcycler and carpenter Robert Bent, and cleaning expert Iwan Carrington to help participants clear and reorganise their living spaces.

Johnston, 82, resides in Wilmslow, Cheshire, with her rescue dogs. She is a grandmother of two and has been single following the end of her second marriage to theatre director David Pammenter in 1980. She noted that she wishes her home was less cluttered when her son Joel and his family visit, saying, “I love being Granny. I think grandchildren are the reward you get for getting old.”

Her comments come ahead of the launch of her new BBC comedy series *Ann Droid*, set in 2029 and scheduled to air next month. In the show, Johnston portrays a recently widowed pensioner who is given a secondhand eldercare robot named Linda by her son. The character initially finds the robot intrusive and frustrating but eventually comes to appreciate its assistance in running errands and handling various challenges. Diane Morgan, known for her work on *Motherland*, co-wrote the series and plays the role of Linda.
