Ryan Gondoh has rejoined Lewes Football Club, marking a welcome return to the Dripping Pan for the 29-year-old winger. Gondoh previously spent two seasons with the club, during which he scored 14 goals and established himself as a fan favourite. His comeback follows a successful period at AFC Whyteleafe, where he contributed to consecutive promotions and an appearance in the FA Vase final.

Speaking to the club’s media, Gondoh described his return as a homecoming. He emphasized the strong connections he maintained with the club and its community, noting that his time at Lewes had been positive both on and off the pitch. “It feels like home, I feel like I’m back where I belong,” he said. He praised the club’s atmosphere and expressed enthusiasm about rejoining the Rooks squad.

Lewes manager Craig Nelson highlighted the significance of bringing Gondoh back to the team. He pointed to the winger’s quality, experience, and personality as key assets that will enhance the squad. Nelson noted Gondoh’s ability to create chances, beat defenders, and influence games with his creativity and unpredictability in attack. He also underscored Gondoh’s understanding of the club’s culture and his strong connection with the supporters.

Nelson added that securing Gondoh’s return was a priority and expressed confidence that the player would soon be able to demonstrate his abilities on the pitch. Gondoh was selected for the team’s recent away match against Aveley, indicating that he is already being integrated into squad plans.

Gondoh’s return to Lewes comes as the club seeks to build on its momentum early in the season, with the promise that his addition will bolster their attacking options and deepen the squad’s experience moving forward.
