Ryan Inniss’ second-half header secured a crucial 1-0 victory for Hornchurch against Scunthorpe United on Saturday, halting the Urchins’ recent run of poor form. Hornchurch manager Daryl McMahon expressed satisfaction with the result, emphasizing the team’s cohesion on and off the field. “I’m over the moon. Playing a club like Scunthorpe, getting the win and also having opportunities to score more is great to see. Most important though is the clean sheet. We are a very together group both on and off the pitch,” he said.

Scunthorpe threatened in response, with Kyle Hurst firing a long-range shot over the bar and Jack Powell setting up Henry Sandat, whose attempt also missed the target.
Hornchurch’s Joe Kizzi provided a key chance with a precise pass to Aaron Rowe, who advanced down the wing to cross for Josh Walker.
