SALALAH — The 8th edition of the Dhofar Holy Quran Forum commenced at the Sultan Qaboos Youth Complex for Culture and Entertainment in Salalah, Oman. The event, held from October 5 and scheduled to run for four days, is organised by the Directorate-General of Endowments and Religious Affairs in Dhofar Governorate.
The opening ceremony took place under the patronage of Dr. Ahmed bin Mohsin al Ghassani, Chairman of Dhofar Municipality. It featured the inauguration of an exhibition highlighting the spiritual impact of the Holy Quran on the lives of Muslims. In addition, attendees participated in interactive competitions and a panel discussion titled “In the Realm of the Quran.”
The annual forum aims to promote Quranic education and spirituality by offering a range of scholarly courses and specialised workshops focused on developing skills related to learning, reciting, and memorising the Holy Quran. The event serves as a platform to deepen participants' understanding of the Quran and enhance their engagement with its teachings.
By bringing together religious scholars, students, and the community, the Dhofar Holy Quran Forum continues to be a significant cultural and religious event in the region, nurturing the connection between faith and daily life in Oman.
