Samsung entered the smart ring market in 2024 with the release of the Galaxy Ring, a compact wearable designed to combine health monitoring with simple device control. Despite its small form factor, the ring is equipped with various sensors that track vital health metrics such as heart rate, skin temperature, and daily physical activity.

When paired with the Samsung Health app, the Galaxy Ring aggregates this data to provide users with a comprehensive overview of their wellbeing and lifestyle patterns. A notable feature is the daily Energy Score, which analyzes collected information to assess a wearer’s readiness for the day ahead.

In addition to its health functions, the Galaxy Ring incorporates motion-tracking technology that allows it to serve as a remote control for compatible devices. Users can perform specific finger gestures to activate their Galaxy smartphone’s camera shutter or dismiss alarms without needing to directly interact with their phone.

The device offers approximately one week of battery life on a single charge and is available in multiple finishes, including a titanium gold option. The Galaxy Ring is priced at £399 and can be purchased through Samsung’s UK website.
