The Saudi Warehousing and Logistics Expo opened on Tuesday in Riyadh, highlighting the Kingdom’s expanding role as a regional logistics hub. The event, held at the Riyadh International Convention and Exhibition Center, runs through September 10 and is expected to attract more than 18,000 professionals from the logistics and warehousing sectors, according to organizers dmg events.
The expo was inaugurated by Rumaih bin Mohammed Al-Rumaih, the vice minister of transport and logistic services, under the patronage of Minister Saleh Al-Jasser. The opening ceremony was attended by various distinguished guests, including Matt Denton, president of dmg events, who emphasized the significance of the logistics sector in Saudi Arabia’s overall economic transformation.
Following the official opening, the delegation visited the exhibition area, engaging with exhibitors showcasing innovative solutions across the Kingdom’s supply chain, warehousing, and logistics industries.
The event included the Saudi Warehousing and Logistics Summit, during which Denton outlined the strategic role of logistics in accelerating the objectives of Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 and the National Transport and Logistics Strategy. He noted that the Kingdom is reinforcing its position as an essential trade and logistics gateway linking Asia, Europe, and Africa through investments in infrastructure and connectivity.
The summit convened a broad range of participants, including government officials, logistics operators, investors, and supply chain experts. Discussions focused on topics such as infrastructure development, multimodal transportation, warehousing and distribution capabilities, digital resilience, and supply chain security, reflecting the country’s commitment to modernizing its logistics sector to support broader economic diversification goals.
