Saudi Arabia and the United States have formalized the latter’s official participation in Expo 2030 Riyadh through a signed agreement aimed at strengthening cooperation ahead of the international event. The accord was signed in Atlanta by Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan and U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio.
The agreement establishes a structured framework for both countries to collaborate on preparations for the global exhibition, underscoring the event’s role in promoting international partnerships. Secretary Rubio emphasized the importance of Expo 2030 as a platform for advancing American innovation and expanding business opportunities, while also reinforcing the strategic ties between the two nations.
“Expo 2030 is an important platform to advance American innovation, expand U.S. businesses opportunities, and strengthen our strategic partnership with Saudi Arabia,” Rubio stated.
Saudi Ambassador to the United States Princess Reema bint Bandar also welcomed the agreement, describing it as a significant milestone in the long-standing relationship between Saudi Arabia and the U.S. She highlighted the shared commitments to innovation and economic growth as central to the partnership and expressed optimism about the benefits the exhibition could bring both countries as well as the broader international community.
“Proud to witness another important milestone in the Saudi-U.S. strategic partnership with the signing of the United States’ participation contract for Expo 2030 Riyadh,” Princess Reema said. “The U.S. participation reflects the strength of our longstanding relationship and our shared commitment to innovation, economic opportunity, and bringing people and ideas together.”
