Saudi Arabia’s Tadawul All Share Index saw a modest increase on Wednesday, closing at 10,925.69, up 14.11 points or 0.13 percent. Trading activity was robust with a total turnover of 3.7 billion riyals (approximately $989 million). Among the 253 stocks traded, 123 advanced while 130 declined.

In contrast, the Kingdom’s parallel market, Nomu, experienced a slight decline, losing 10.37 points or 0.05 percent to finish the session at 21,573.18. The market saw 29 stocks rising against 33 that retreated.

Another index also reported a small gain, closing at 1,468.39, up 0.88 points or 0.06 percent.

Among individual stocks, AFG International Co. led the gains with its share price rising 9.96 percent to 16.89 riyals. Methanol Chemicals Co. followed with a 7.74 percent increase to 32.58 riyals, while Tabuk Agricultural Development Co. advanced 4.56 percent, closing at 84 riyals.

On the downside, Almasane Alobara Mining Co. recorded the largest decline, falling 4.35 percent to 80.30 riyals. The Power and Water Utility Co. for Jubail and Yanbu saw its shares drop 3.57 percent to 4 riyals. Saudi Aramco Base Oil Co. also experienced a decrease, with its share price falling 2.55 percent to 134 riyals.
