The Saudi Tourism Authority (STA), under the patronage of Minister of Tourism Ahmed Al-Khateeb, recently concluded a workshop aimed at advancing the Saudi Winter 2026 tourism program. The event brought together more than 100 partners from both public and private sectors to foster collaboration and enhance overall sector readiness ahead of the upcoming season.

During the workshop, participants explored avenues for integration among tourism stakeholders and allied industries to deliver a comprehensive and tailored experience for various tourist segments. Presentations highlighted new tourism products and exclusive offers from a range of providers, including hotels, hospitality establishments, travel companies, event organizers, and entertainment and shopping venues. These initiatives seek to diversify tourism options and boost the attractiveness of Saudi destinations throughout the winter months.

STA Chief Executive Officer Aqeel Al-Shaibani emphasized the authority’s commitment to working closely with partners to transform the Kingdom’s diverse tourism offerings into accessible, easy-to-book experiences. He noted that these efforts aim to strengthen the competitiveness of Saudi destinations by catering to different market segments and encouraging longer stays through enhanced options and unique attractions.

The Saudi Winter 2026 program features over 1,800 tourism products and a variety of events and activities spanning several key winter destinations such as Riyadh, AlUla, Qassim, Hail, Jeddah, Alkhobar, Al-Ahsa, Madinah, and the Red Sea region. The program encompasses a broad spectrum of entertainment, nature-based, cultural, and seasonal activities designed to appeal to diverse visitor groups, including families, children, friends, and organized groups.

This comprehensive approach reflects Saudi Arabia’s strategic focus on expanding its winter tourism sector and offering a wide-ranging portfolio of experiences that showcase the Kingdom’s cultural heritage and natural landscapes.
