Tottenham Hotspur is renewing efforts to sign Brazilian winger Savinho from Manchester City in a transfer deal reported to be around £60 million. The 22-year-old, who joined City in 2024 from Troyes, has expressed a desire to move on in search of more regular playing time.

Savinho, who has three years remaining on his contract with Manchester City, played just 14 starts across all competitions last season, with his opportunities limited partly due to injury. He reportedly believes that a move to Tottenham would provide him with the consistent game time he is seeking.

Tottenham has long been interested in the winger, who was initially targeted during the previous transfer window. At that time, Manchester City valued Savinho closer to £70 million, but negotiations have since brought that figure down. Spurs are currently among the leading clubs pursuing the player, with AC Milan also showing interest in the 13-cap Brazil international.

Manager Roberto De Zerbi has indicated that Savinho’s pace and creativity suit his tactical approach, and Tottenham remains focused on securing the signing to bolster their attacking options. The club has committed significant funds to strengthening the squad this summer, with an overall transfer spend reported to be around £237 million. This investment follows two consecutive seasons where Tottenham finished in 17th place, underscoring the urgency to reinforce their squad.

Savinho initially arrived at Manchester City after a loan spell at Girona, another club within the City Football Group. Having impressed during that period, City secured his transfer for approximately £21 million. The winger’s move to Tottenham would mark a significant step in his career as he looks to establish himself as a regular starter in the Premier League.
