A 15-year-old girl told a court she ran to a teacher and said, “Sir, I’ve been stabbed,” after being knifed in the back at her school near Norwich. The incident took place on March 11 at Thorpe St Andrew School.

The girl, who was the same age as the accused, gave a police interview shown to the jury at King’s Lynn Crown Court. She described seeing a masked individual dressed entirely in black and not wearing any school uniform. She said she initially felt the person touch her shoulder and then punch her, without realizing she had been stabbed at that point. She began to run away but did not recognize the attacker, who did not speak to her.

A boy, 15 at the time and now 16, is standing trial charged with attempted murder in connection with the stabbing. For legal reasons, his identity has not been disclosed. The trial continues as the court hears further evidence regarding the events that led to the stabbing and the circumstances surrounding the incident.
